[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

After a hectic morning of jumble sales and picnics, Toby had a lot to talk about.

I’m back!

Hello? Hello? Is anyone still listening?

I guess the first thing I should do is apologise for the break. For once I actually have a decent excuse. Let me introduce him to you…

While he is sleeping I’ve taken the opportunity to sneak away and catch up on my to do list. As you can imagine, I have lots to tell you and I plan to give you all the new goss. I’ll do this in installments so I don’t a) bore you b) fall asleep while typing c) miss out any of the details.

Talk soon

Here is the first glimpse of the baby’s room - the end result of many hours of (G’s) blood, sweat and tears. It looks amazing and as soon as we’ve got the rest of the furniture in we’ll take some more photos.
We’re another week closer to the great Davenport migration. This will be the first time ALL the Davenports will have been together since March 08. Uncle M has managed to wrangle Xmas week off so he’s coming over again. Who’s keen for a Skype session on Xmas day?
We’re in nesting mode here - the room’s been painted, all his baby clothes have been washed and we’re gradually sorting and deep cleaning the house.. although I suspect Mum will still feel the need to do so again when she gets here! Grandma’s privilege apparently!
More photo’s to follow next time.

The Dastardly Duo!

It was great having M here for the weekend and I’m loving the fact that we’re now so close. On the orders of Marlene we had a quiet, chilled out weekend ;o)

Although it goes against every grain of vanity in my body I’ve put up a belly pic - this will hopefully get rid of any doubt that I am actually pregnant and haven’t ‘just been at’t pies!’

Thank you all for your birthday wishes and presents. The day started as all birthdays should: croissants with Nutella and coffee… the treats! I picked Matt up from the airport and the festivities continued. We ended the day with a gathering of friends at a local bar and some good grub at Canton Cafe. Photo’s will follow later this week.
If this is what 32 is all about… count me in!

We had our 32 week scan this morning and everything now seems to be in the right place which means I will not need a planned C-section. Although we’re obviously very pleased about this, a tiny part of me can’t help but linger after a ‘too posh to push’ LA, celebrity type birth.
I had visions of a full daily schedule with half an hour set aside for the birth and reapplying of make up before heading back out to complete my day. Now it seems I have to prepare for the Hollywood version instead - my waters breaking dramatically somewhere very public, a Benny Hill style dash to the hospital and 10 minutes of screaming and pushing before being handed a perfectly clean, smiling baby the size of a 2 month old.
In all seriousness, we’re very pleased and are eagerly looking forward to his arrival, however he decides to make his entrance.

Oh come on! You didn’t think it’d all be plain sailing did you?
